SEND 'EM IN
Dimensions: 20x20 Yard Square (alter this depending on number of players and degree of difficulty you hope to achieve)
Split team into two: attack and defence (numbers up e.g. 8v4 etc)
How to: Designed to add pressure in increments. The defending team start at the side of the field, the attacking team make 3 unopposed passes, on completion of the 3rd pass, one defender can enter the area and try to win the ball back. The team in possession attempt to make 3 more passes, another defender can then enter. The game continues until the defending team wins the ball back.
Coaching Points: Give your team mate an option. Make the area as big as possible while you have the ball by spreading out and finding space.
Consider your options- drawing a defender is a good thing, it creates space somewhere else, relax under pressure and look for the right pass.
Pass to relieve pressure; do not play your team mate into trouble by passing too early or passing because you think you should. Wait for the right opportunity.
Know your surroundings- the best possible passing option might be right behind you.
